Sprint Monarch to Debut in Bislett

One of the world’s most highly decorated female sprinters, Veronica Campbell-Brown, will make her long awaited first appearance in Oslo, when she competes in the Diamond League 100m at this year’s ExxonMobil Bislett Games on 11 June.

Women’s Javelin lands back in Bislett

OSLO, 19 May 2015 – It has been 13 years, but finally the women’s javelin, one of the sport’s more traditional events, returns to Oslo’s Bislett stadium for the 50th anniversary ExxonMobil Bislett Games. Javelin has almost folklore status in Norway which has long been regarded as a “factory” for javelin throwers and competitors like Halse, Sunde, Danielsen, Pedersen and Thorkildsen quickly became household names in Norway.

High jumpers to raise the bar at Bislett

Meeting Director Steinar Hoen (himself a high jumper of distinction with a personal best of 2.36m) has assembled the finest ever field to contest the event at Oslo’s famous Bislett stadium.
