The return of the Kings: Coe, Ovett and Cram at Bislett
The “British kings of middle distance” will collectively return to Oslo for the first time in nearly a quarter of a century when they gather in Oslo to celebrate the Exxon Mobil Bislett Games on 13th of June. In the late 70s and early 80s Seb Coe, Steve Ovett and Steve Cram were the most recognizable athletes in the world and the most dominant.

Bolt to face the Norwegian challenge
Excitement will be at fever pitch in Oslo’s Bislett stadium when the world greatest athlete Usain Bolt is challenged by the local Norwegian favourite Jaysuma Saidy Ndure in the 200m which will be the highlight of this year’s Exxon Mobil Bislett Games. This will be the second instalment of the IAAF’s Diamond League to be held in Europe.

This year’s Exxon Mobil Bislett Games will boast the strongest ever field to participate in the 3000m steeplechase event at the famous Oslo stadium. This event is traditionally dominated by athletes from Kenya and their elite will respond to the starter’s gun in the way they know best; fast and furious and in a race that is sure to ignite the Bislett crowd.

The “Dream Mile” is always a feature event at Oslo’s ExxonMobil Bislett Games. It is the most traditional and famous Mile race in the world as it boasts a unique history that is highlighted with great names and performances. In the 80s the British trio of Coe, Ovett and Cram all contested the celebrated Mile race and all established new World Records.

Usain Bolt to compete at the ExxonMobil Bislett Games – Samsung Diamond League
The world’s greatest sports star will run at the Bislett Stadium for the third year in a row. Usain Bolt will return to Oslo, Norway and the ExxonMobil Bislett Games on Thursday 13 June 2013 where he will be competing in the 200metres. The meeting in Oslo is the sixth of the 14 meets in the world athletics series, the Samsung Diamond League.

ExxonMobil continues the race for ExxonMobil Bislett Games
ExxonMobil in Norway has signed a new contract with the Bislett Alliance to continue as the title sponsor of the traditional athletic event at the Bislett Stadium this summer.

3000m steeple chase: World Lead, Meet Record and African Record.
The women's steeple chase in Oslo turned out to be a fast race. The winner was Milcah Chemos of Kenya in 9:07.14 and also the two Ethiopians in second and third place was well below the previous world lead time, 9:09.00 and 9:09.16, respectively.
