Nine Olympic Champions from Paris Confirmed for Bislett Games

This year’s Oslo Bislett Games is bringing together some of the best talent the world of athletics has to offer.

Looking at the start lists, we find no fewer than nine reigning Olympic champions from Paris:

  • Emmanuel Wanyonyi, Kenya – 800 meters.
  • Rai Benjamin, USA – 400 meter hurdles.
  • Armand Duplantis, Sweden – Pole vault.
  • Ethan Katzberg, Canada – Hammer throw.
  • Markus Rooth, Norway – Decathlon.
  • Julien Alfred, Saint Lucia – 100 meters.
  • Winfred Yavi, Bahrain – 3000 meter steeplechase.
  • Thea LaFond, Dominica – Triple jump.
  • Haruka Kitaguchi, Japan – Javelin.

In addition, two world record holders from the Nordic countries will be competing: Karsten Warholm in the 400 meter hurdles and Mondo Duplantis in the pole vault.
