The world's six best discus throwers ready for Bislett Games

It's a bit unbelievable, but the start list for the women's discus competition at the Wanda Diamond League meeting at Bislett on 15 June contains all the top six in the World Ranking. Can it get any better?

Oslo Bislett Games 2023 offers:

Valarie Allman from the USA. Ranked 1 with a personal best of 71.46. Olympic Champion from Tokyo 2021, and number three in last year's World Championships.

Sandra Perkovic from Croatia. Ranked 2nd with a personal best of 71.41. Olympic Champion in 2012 and 2016. World Champion in 2013 and 2017. Six-time European champion from 2010 to 2022.

Kristin Pudenz from Germany. Ranked 3rd with a personal best of 67.87. Number two in the 2021 Olympics and European Championships 2022.

Claudine Vita from Germany. Ranked 4th with a personal best of 66.64. Number three in the European Championships and number five in the World Championships 2022.

Jorinde van Klinken from the Netherlands. Ranked 5th with a personal best of 70.22. Number four in the World Championships 2022. Also has a bronze medal in the shot put from the European Championships 2022

Liliana Ca from Portugal. Ranked 6 with a personal best of 66.40. Number five in the 2021 Olympics and European Championships 2022, and number six in the World Championships 2022.
