On June 16, he is ready for the Oslo Bislett Games, and with the evening breeze behind him, he may threaten Cuban Irving Saladino's track record of 8.53 from 2006.
Tentoglou won the Olympics in Tokyo last summer with 8.45 and this winter's indoor World Championships with 8.55. The 24-year-old is also winner of several European championships; yes the only serious barrier he has in the last five years is from the World Cup in Doha in 2019 where he finished tenth.
