Powell to explode in Bislett

Former world 100m record-holder Asafa Powell of Jamaica has given the strongest indication that is ready for something very special in the ExxonMobil Bislett Games in Oslo on Friday the 4th of June.
Powell was in devastating form in Ostrava Thursday night as he battled a slight headwind on a rain soaked track to record the fastest 100m run in the world this year. His time of 9.83 was quicker than Usian Bolt’s previous world leading mark of 9.86 which came in Daegu , Korea last week.
Asafa Powell handled the treacherous wet conditions confidentlyand looked superb as he left the opposition trailing in his wake. One wonders what the big Jamaican is capable of in the more favourable climatic conditions that will exist in Bislett stadium next week . Clearly a very fast time is on offer!
