Andre De Grasse came through University of Southern California, which has long since been regarded as a sprint factory producing such great competitors as Lennox Miller and Don Quarrie. Whilst Trayvon Bromell attended Baylor University in Texas where distinguished former students included Michael Johnson and Jeremy Wariner.

In their short careers both have shown an appetite for quality competition and have significant performances behind them already in a vocation that has barely begun. De Grasse has gold medals in the Pan Am Games to support many medals he picked in the NCAA system and World Championships (bronze in 100m and 4x100m relay) whilst Bromell has medals at World Juniors / Pan Am Juniors and very recently a gold medal in the 60m final at the 2016 World Indoor Championships.

De Grasse (22) was raised in Ontario, Canada and was coached from a young age by a former Canadian sprinter and Olympic representative, Tony Sharpe.
